I smile at the people we meet and listen to their stories. They share their lives with honesty and vision. As Graciela Azmitia from the National Movement for Human Rights, tells her story, I try to imagine what it would be like to have my mother, father, sister, and brothers "disappeared."

I am unsure of so much. But there is also one thing I am absolutely sure of -- I am part of all that surrounds me and engulfs me, and makes me feel like I am drowning at times.
