On October 12, 2007, UUSC held the second of
a three-part series of roundtable discussions focusing on ending U.S.
involvement in Iraq. Titled From Combat to Peace and Reconciliation:
The Journey of Two Iraq War Veterans, the
roundtable featured speakers Camilo Mejía and Liam Madden. Mejía is the
chair of the board of directors of
Iraq Veterans Against the War, as well as
author of the book Road from Ar Ramadi. Madden is the co-founder of
Iraq Veterans Against the War as well as co-founder of
Appeal for
Redress.
