$3 Billion Emergency Supplemental Aid Request for Haiti

UUSC signed on to
letter from faith-based and human rights groups addressed to Congress requesting
an emergency supplemental request of $3 billion to meet the long-term needs of
Haiti and a request that aid be
allocated and disbursed in ways that would help avert similar disasters in the
future. The
purpose of this action was to show broad-based support for significant long-term
US funding for Haitian-led recovery
as Congress prepares to take on the emergency supplemental request. A PDF of the letter is attached below.
