UUSC signed on to a faith letter to President Obama as he visited the
Gulf Coast on October 15, 2009, to encourage support for green jobs and recovery
aid.
Purpose
The purpose of this
action was to highlight the unmet needs of low-income families of the Gulf
Coast region during the Presidential visit. Also, it served as a way to emphasize the
importance of creating good green jobs and repairing infrastructure.
