To Reinforce the "Responsibility to Protect" Among African Heads of Governments and Foreign Ministers

UUSC signed on to a letter to African heads of governments and foreign ministers to support the norm of the Responsibility to Protect through words and actions in the upcoming 63rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The purpose of this action is to reinforce the principle of the responsibility to protect, and the fundamental principles it encompasses, in the 63rd U.N. General Assembly and in other major U.N. and African peace, security, and human-rights forums.
