Environmental Justice
UUSC signed on to a
letter addressed to Deputy Secretary of State Jack Lew, requesting an increase
in the FY2011 budget request from the State Department/USAID for water and
sanitation.
Purpose
The purpose of this action
was to request an increase in federal foreign aid support for water projects to
implement the human right to water overseas. Water Advocates prepared the
letter, and the WASH working group of InterAction as well as WaterAid America
also signed on.
