In Support of Language Being Added to the Water for the Poor Act to Help Ensure that Appropriations Actually Benefit the Poor

UUSC joined allies on the Religious Working Group on Water to send faxes to Congress (House and Senate) Appropriations Committee members requesting restrictive language in the Senator Paul Simon Water for the Poor Act so that the FY appropriations will go to projects benefiting the poor. The Senator Paul Simon Water for the Poor Act funds water and sanitation projects that provide "access to safe, sufficient, affordable water for daily human needs."
