Environmental Justice
Sign on to a letter to the Senate urging them to pass a strong climate bill and improve the financing for international adaptation and international clean technology transfer and cooperation, and to maintain the avoided deforestation protections in the bill.

Purpose
The purpose of this action is to urge the Senate to pass a strong climate bill and improve the financing for international adaptation and international clean technology transfer and cooperation, and to maintain the avoided deforestation protections in the bill. Although there are many reasons that the U.S. climate bill must include a well-resourced international section, this letter focuses on the importance of these issues in reaching a global climate deal in Copenhagen this December. As we know, the U.S. simply cannot solve global warming alone. This letter will be delivered at a crucial moment in early September right before financing for programs in a climate bill has been finalized in committee.
