Responding to the Earthquake in Nepal
Even before the casualty figures started coming in, the horrific images told the story — this struggling country has suffered a devastating blow, and its people need our help. Immediately.
With Nepal’s record of poor infrastructure, relief and recovery efforts are certain to face significant challenges. That is one reason that UUSC and the UUA are launching a special joint appeal for Nepal relief work. As is our practice with international disaster relief, UUSC will take the lead in distributing funds where they can do the most good, directing support toward people who are left out of mainstream relief efforts.
We’re assembling a crisis response team to conduct an initial assessment of the greatest threats survivors face.
Join UUSC today to protect human rights and promote social justice. For more than 70 years, UUSC has grown through the generosity of thousands of members who share our vision of a world free from oppression and injustice, where all can realize their full human rights. Membership benefits begin at the $40 level, but we welcome gifts of any amount.

“It is hard to find ways to make a real difference. UUSC does. It digs, gets messy, and supports fighters for justice and builders of stronger communities. I am thrilled to support UUSC.”
—Mike Shonsey, UUSC member
