ABC News/Washington Post Poll: Iraq and Politics finds that 67% of Americans think Congress should "reduce" funding for the war, 67% of Americans want war funding to be decreased and 43% want that funding to be reduced "sharply."

The Washington Post: A Tough Tour of the Home Front: New Joint Chiefs Head Hears of Wars' Strains . Admiral Mullen, highest ranking military officer was assailed during his bases "listening tour" by captain about the lack of dwell time. The Webb Amendment, which sought to increase dwell time for US soldiers, failed because of GOP lawmakers.

The NY Times: Feedback for the Chairman of Joint Chiefs . The Iraq War is has military stretched thin. The Army faces shortages of equipment and of more than 6,000 captains and majors in response “the Army has lowered the bar” for recruitment and “the officers at Fort Sill told Admiral Mullen that the move had caused a new set of problems.

Americans Against Escalation in Iraq is a major, multi- million dollar national campaign to oppose the President's proposal to escalate the war in Iraq by sending more than 20,000 additional troops into the violent civil war between Sunni insurgents and Shiite militias.
