Advancing Economic Justice

In 2010, Justice Sunday advances economic justice against the backdrop of the global economic downturn.

Resources will be available in December 2009.

Learn more about Justice Sunday.

Justice Sunday is an annual program — occurring each spring — that connects participants with people on the frontlines of today's human-rights movement. It offers meaningful advocacy actions for people of all ages.

On Justice Sunday Unitarian Universalist congregations come together to take action on one pressing human rights issue. In 2010, we will advance economic justice against the backdrop of the global economic downturn.

By participating in Justice Sunday, members of your congregation gain in-depth knowledge about an urgent human-rights issue and take steps to create needed social change.

The suggested date for next year's program is March 28, 2010.

How your congregation can celebrate Justice Sunday

UUSC provides all Justice Sunday resources free of charge. Simple Steps for Justice, the centerpiece of Justice Sunday, helps congregants educate, act, and speak out. A sample sermon, readings, and hymns ensure your congregation enjoys a meaningful Justice Sunday worship experience. Additional resources are available for educational and advocacy activities.
