David Colton
- Board
David Colton lives in Albuquerque with his wife, Mary, a weaver. He is a member of the First Unitarian Church and regional coordinator for the Mountain District: South of the UUSC Volunteer Network.
After earning degrees at Harvard and the University of Chicago, he served as professor of education at Washington University (St. Louis) and then as professor and dean at the University of New Mexico's College of Education. His area of specialization, education policy, has immersed him in issues involving school desegregation, teachers' rights, school and university finance, and youth policy.
A community activist, he has been involved with social agencies in Boston, St. Louis, and Albuquerque.
