Laurie Brunner

Formerly the administrative assistant for UUSC's Institutional Advancement Department, Laurie Brunner has been UUSC's prospect research assistant since 2007. She is primarily responsible for collecting donor intelligence and assembling profiles for fundraising and donor stewardship, and she also uses her writing, proofreading, and editing skills to support the department.

In 2007, Brunner traveled to Banda Aceh, Indonesia, to assist with program-partner visits and document UUSC's work via photography and blogging. This experience gave her a renewed sense of the importance of support roles within human rights-and social-justice organizations.

Brunner earned a double bachelor's degree in English literature and studio art, with an additional certificate in women's studies, from the University of Maryland at College Park. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, photography, long-distance walking (she is a two-time Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day walker), and cultivating outrage at injustice in the world.
