Zanmi Timoun (Friends of the Children)
Zanmi Timoun has been working for the past decade to assist survivors of child
slavery and trafficking to reintegrate into society. The needs of
these extremely marginalized groups have greatly escalated since the
earthquake, and Zanmi Timoun is working in creative ways to meet
those needs. Zanmi Timoun's objectives are as follows:

To defend and promote children's rights

To offer professional training for young adults orphaned by the earthquake

To contribute to the reduction of juvenile delinquency in the country

To struggle against the child servitude and/or slavery system and the trafficking of children in Haiti

To contribute to the rehabilitation of families and communities of repatriated people formerly victims of child servitude and/or slavery and human trafficking
