Role Plays
The following resources are provided to help you present role plays about the impact of disaster and inadequate response on people who are left out of traditional relief efforts. You can use one in a service, or you can incorporate both into a presentation followed by discussion for adults or youth groups. They can be used in religious-education classes, a Justice Sunday program, or other social-justice awareness and education programs.
- Humanitarian Aid — Floods in Pakistan [PDF]
These two role plays are based on actual conversations UUSC staff had with partners and constituents while working in Pakistan. The role plays take about 10 minutes each.
- Humanitarian Aid — Genocide in Darfur [PDF]
These seven role plays were taken from the real lives of women in Darfur. The role plays take about 10–15 minutes each.
