Cassandra Ryan

Vice President and Lead Development Officer

Cassandra Ryan is responsible for establishing and administering UUSC’s fundraising policies as well as playing an active role in setting strategy for the organization. As UUSC’s Vice President and Lead Development Officer, she leads all aspects of the institution’s fundraising.

Prior to her current role, Cassandra managed UUSC’s major gifts program and special initiatives campaign. She has worked for social justice throughout her career, with more than 20 years of experience in working with nongovernmental organizations. Before moving to New England and joining UUSC in February 2011, Cassandra lived in New York, where she served as the Director of Major Gifts at the Center for Reproductive Rights, Major Gifts Officer at Millennium Promise, and Assistant Director of Major Gifts at the American Civil Liberties Union. She began her career at Amnesty International, where she worked for 12 years.

Cassandra holds a graduate degree in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University and an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Economics from the State University of New York Oneonta.
