Rev. Nathan Hollister leads the ministry of Sacred Fire Unitarian Universalist, which plants and grows deliberate communities of support for life and for social justice all across the country. Since being a teenager, he has been a community organizer for the environment, housing, rights in the workplace, anti-racism, democracy, and peace. He received degrees in Political Science and Sociology with a minor in Economics from Northeastern University, and his Masters of Divinity and Masters of Leadership from Meadville Lombard Theological School, where he now serves as Affiliate Faculty. “Nato” chairs the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Commission on Appraisal and the board of his local Immigrant and Refugee Community Partnership. He is an avid musician and lives with his partner Maddie in Carrboro, central North Carolina.
