This weekend during his weekly address, President Obama tackled the issues facing working women, namely equal pay for equal work and raising the minimum wage.

In this address, he says, “No woman who works full-time should have to raise her children in poverty.” He also calls us all to action, urging us to contact our members of Congress and voice our support for raising the minimum wage to $10.10.

At UUSC we are in full agreement, which is why we have launched the Wage Outrage initiative. We believe that the current minimum wage is a moral outrage that needs remedying!
