The UUSC Coffee Project is a collaboration between the Good Buy (UUSC’s online store) and Equal Exchange, a worker-owned, fair-trade company based in West Bridgewater, Mass. For every pound of fairly traded products sold through the UUSC Coffee Project, Equal Exchange donates 20 cents to the UUSC Small Farmer Fund.
Through the Coffee Project, UUSC supporters can buy fair-trade goods like coffee, chocolate bars, and other tasty treats for themselves, their social action groups, or their congregations, schools, and communities.
Equal Exchange sources these goods directly from farmer cooperatives, following the standards and principles of fair trade with all of its products. Fair trade more equitably distributes wealth and provides farmers and workers with a living wage. By promoting fair trade, you can help small farmers better meet their families’ basic needs for food, education, and health care.
How to participate
- Purchase Equal Exchange products from the Good Buy for yourself and your family and friends.
