Queer Svit

Supporting LGBTQ+ people fleeing Ukraine during the Russian invasion.
Queer Svit

LOCATION: London, England

Queer Svit is an organization made up of volunteers helping LGBTQ+ people impacted by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent war as well as those whose lives are threatened by rising authoritarianism in Russia and Belarus. Queer Svit provides financial assistance, housing, and transportation to LGBTQI+ people in need, along with guidance and connections to further resources. Currently, it is helping LGBTQI+ Ukrainians, Belarusians, and Russians affected by the war through evacuations, legal support, and help with settling in new countries.

Queer Svit plans to research options for obtaining legal immigration status in Eastern European nations and also hire more volunteers and offer qualified help to more people. It plans to develop its case management program and raise awareness in the western world.
