Washington, D.C. | June 16–17, 2025

We believe in a world where everyone can live in  dignity, freedom, and safety. Yet in just a few months, the Trump administration has implemented many harmful policies that threaten our future by restricting basic human rights.

Whether targeting immigrant communities, limiting our freedom, or cutting essential services at home and abroad , we know that silence is not an option! This summer we are heading to Capitol Hill and are inviting people of faith and consciousness to join us from all across the country.

Alongside UUs for Social Justice (UUSJ), Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth, and our UU partners, and prior to our 2025 General Assembly, we want to help you connect with your elected representatives to  foster conversations rooted in compassion and courage on issues that matter to you the most.

🎓 Advocacy Basics Training

Get grounded in the fundamentals of effective advocacy. Perfect for first-timers and seasoned advocates alike. (Exact date coming soon!)

📚 Policy Priorities Training
Early June | Zoom
Learn what we’ll be advocating for on Capitol Hill, with a deep dive into our focus areas: migrant justice, climate justice, and democracy defense. (Exact date coming soon!)

🍽️ Working Dinner & Final Prep
Monday, June 16 | 4:00–6:00 PM | In-person, Washington, D.C.
Connect with fellow participants, review your training, and get ready for Hill Day.

🏛️ Congressional Office Visits
Tuesday, June 17 | 9:30 AM–4:30 PM | In-person, Washington, D.C.
Meet with lawmakers and their staff to advocate for justice-centered policies rooted in UU values.

🕊️ Open-Air Worship, Vigil & Debrief
Tuesday, June 17 | 5:00 PM | Location TBD
Gather together in spirit and solidarity to reflect, bear witness, and close the day in community.
