Challenging Injustice, Advancing Human Rights

Katie Ingegneri

Digital Strategist for Mobilization and Engagement

Katie Ingegneri joined UUSC in November 2018. She is responsible for managing digital engagement strategies and overseeing the daily maintenance and function of UUSC’s digital awareness efforts as they relate to the website and social media.

After beginning her career at Boston-based content marketing startup Skyword, Katie spent five years in Chicago’s fast-paced world of advertising and marketing agencies, honing her skills in website management, content and brand development, digital copywriting, and social media creation. Concerned by the state of the world and threats to vulnerable populations, Katie decided to embrace her interest in social justice by transitioning her career focus to the nonprofit world in her native Massachusetts.

Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from McGill University and her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Naropa University, and over the course of her life thus far has learned to play three instruments, earned a black belt in karate, and founded an online music magazine.
