Senior Program Leader
Mayuri Anupindi is a human rights lawyer with diverse international experience. As a senior program leader, Anupindi leads UUSC’s grantmaking and partner support for organizations focused on the protection of ethnic minorities in Burma, Syrian refugees in the Balkans, and justice for Central American migrants.
Before joining UUSC, Anupindi helped prosecute crimes against humanity in Cambodia for the United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials, served as principal research officer to the Australian Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights, and worked for the Australian government in human rights policy, extradition and mutual assistance. She has also conducted research on business reparations in Papua New Guinea and taught human rights and humanitarian law.
Anupindi holds a Master of Laws from New York University, with a focus on human rights and transitional justice, and a joint Bachelor of Arts and Law with Honors from the University of Technology, Sydney.
