Challenging Injustice, Advancing Human Rights

Shayna Lewis

Senior Program Leader for Digital Strategy and Public Affairs

Shayna is responsible for developing UUSC’s online advocacy and engagement communications strategy, and assisting in guiding its implementation through campaigns. She works to create stakeholder-driven programs to grow and strengthen the organization’s online communities while building brand awareness and inspiring a rich conversation between UUSC and its constituents.

Lewis has a long history of working in and advocating on social justice issues at organizations including the UCSF/UC Hastings Consortium on Law, Science and Health Policy, Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH), and, most recently, Calling All Crows, a group that works for a future where the success of live music is measured not only by ticket sales, but also by the impact of fans and musicians working together for social change. Lewis currently volunteers with the Big Sisters Association of Greater Boston and is a volunteer and board member of the Eastern Massachusetts Abortion Fund. She has a JD from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and a BA in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Arizona.
