Challenging Injustice, Advancing Human Rights

The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee advances human rights through grassroots collaborations.

UU College of Social Justice

UUSC has a rich history of offering hands-on experiences in human rights work. Over the years, thousands of people have joined UUSC on short-term volunteer trips to put their values into action and lend their hands to vital work that advances human rights. Today, UUSC collaborates with the Unitarian Universalist Association to continue this history of service learning through the Unitarian Universalist College of Social Justice (UUCSJ).

The mission of the UU College of Social Justice is to inspire and sustain effective, spiritually grounded activism for justice.

We offer immersion learning journeys, justice training programs, summer internships, congregational and study resources, as well as volunteer opportunities with partner organizations in the U.S. and abroad. All programs are designed to help people cross boundaries, gain insight, and imagine new ways to make a difference in the world.

Our offerings include options for high school youth, young adults (college age through early 30s), and religious professionals, as well as experiential learning journeys open to adults of all ages. We warmly welcome participants from every faith tradition as well as those who are unaffiliated.
