LOCATION: Krung Thep, Thailand

Founded in 1996, Alternative ASEAN Network on Burma is a coalition of individuals and organizations based in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member states working to strengthen human rights and democracy in Southeast Asia. The network includes academics, think tanks, journalists, and activists.

UUSC’s support will help the organization develop and maintain an online skill-sharing platform. This will include Zoom software and a private Facebook group. The goal is to use the platform for knowledge-building and networking among activists. They will also offer small grants for community development and human rights projects. 

UUSC is glad to partner with The Alternative ASEAN Network on Burma to strengthen community bonds and build the capacity of its members to advance social justice in the region and develop strong human rights networks.
