Community Accompaniment Program With Asylum-Seekers (CAPAS)

Throughout history and around the world, people have found ways to accompany and support those who are at risk of persecution. UUSC works with community groups and congregations as they accompany individuals and families seeking safety through the process of obtaining legal asylum in the United States. We invite you to join us in this journey of welcoming people and providing solidarity as those seeking asylum navigate increasingly challenging immigration systems and policies and establish their lives in their new communities.
UUSC provides multiple ways to get involved. We can work with you to figure out the best role for you and your group at this time.
UUSC staff will work closely with you throughout the process and provide ongoing support and connection to other groups doing similar work.
If you are interested in learning more about accompaniment opportunities, please fill out this form, and we will contact you. We look forward to working together!
