Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert and Ethel Kennedy and one of the world’s most acclaimed human rights activists, is the president of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Rights. She has traveled the globe, including into some of the world’s most dangerous regions, to confront oppressors and offer encouragement to human rights defenders. Her Speak Truth To Power curriculum and initiative has educated hundreds of thousands of people about the experiences of those defenders and the nature of courage.
Hear Kennedy talk with UUSC President Bill Schulz about her family, her father’s legacy and the global struggle for human rights, after which UUSC will present her with its annual Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Award.
This event is open to all General Assembly attendees. Please arrive early as seating is limited. Light dinner will be provided, with a cash bar available.
