A Just Recovery in the Wake of Nepal Earthquakes
UUSC supported eight grassroots partners connecting with more than 112,000 individuals recovering from the 2015 earthquakes.
Unlike the response of the larger international community, more than two-thirds of funds UUSC raised went directly to local Nepalese organizations. Nearly three years after the earthquakes, the empowerment and increased agency of traditionally oppressed groups, including Dalits, Indigenous People, and women, stands as the hallmark of the work UUSC supported there.
