UUSC’s 75th Anniversary Gala

May 26, 2015

Since 1940, when Waitstill and Martha Sharp began rescuing refugees fleeing the Nazis in Europe, UUSC has been working on behalf of people whose rights are most at risk. Special guests include several people rescued by the Sharps as well as video greeting from Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). The event also features the premiere of a specially commissioned choral piece by the renowned UU composer T.J. Anderson, with lyrics written by former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky, performed by the choir from First Parish in Concord, Mass.
