Foundation Towards Dialogue

Providing extensive support for members of Roma communities in Poland and Ukraine.
Towards Dialogue

LOCATION: Kraków, Poland

Foundation Towards Dialogue was founded in 2012 by two women with extensive experience working with and for Roma communities, both in academia and the nonprofit sector.

Currently, the organization is providing comprehensive support for Romani refugees from Ukraine, both immediate aid and long-term psychological, legal, educational, and employment support. This includes a Roma-Poland-Ukraine day center for integration, which provides Ukrainian Roma refugees, primarily women and children, with psychological support, legal aid, mentoring, and education. The center offers a safe space during their recovery from trauma as a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the resulting war, and the displacement it’s caused, as well as the subsequent discrimination and hostility many experienced after arriving in Poland.

Foundation Towards Dialogue helps people get to know each other, understand each other, learn from others, and avoid any form of violence against disadvantaged peoples or groups. The organization believes in initiating change through education.
