The Burmese Military Is Attacking Its Own People. Congress Can Help Stop It.
Tell your lawmakers to act now to cut off support for violence and protect people from being forced back into it.

Bills are moving in Congress that would cut off funding for the Burmese junta’s atrocities and restore protections for nationals of Burma living in the United States. Take action below to support both initiatives.
Thank your House rep for passing the Brave Burma Act (H.R. 3190), ask your senators to get it over the finish line, and encourage both chambers to support legislation restoring Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Burma.
Background: For more than five years, an illegitimate military junta has waged a non-stop war against the people of Burma—persecuting their elected government and killing thousands of innocent people in airstrikes and other military atrocities.
Congress has the power to significantly impair the junta’s ability to commit these crimes, while protecting people displaced and attacked by the junta’s barbarity.
One bill, the BRAVE Burma Act (H.R.3190/S.3981) would impose new financial restrictions on the Burmese junta and curtail their access to jet fuel, which they are using to massacre their own population from the skies.
The House has already passed the BRAVE Burma Act with unanimous support. We just need the Senate to schedule a vote and mirror the language in the House version.
A second bill, H.R.7014, would restore TPS protections for Burmese people in the United States who otherwise face the risk of deportation to the very conditions they fled.
Help contact your lawmakers today to send both bills to the president’s desk.
