Intergenerational Global Solidarity Seminar
Where faith meets action and generations unite for justice
Our Intergenerational Global Solidarity Seminar, rooted in decades of engagement with the United Nations, is an annual gathering that brings together Unitarian Universalists and people of conscience across all ages to explore pressing human rights issues.

Building justice across generations
Bridging relationships that transcend boundaries of age, identity, and experience, we are carrying forward a legacy of spiritually grounded activism. You can help foster transformative change at our next seminar, adding your voice and power to this collaboration across generations for justice.
Each year’s seminar offers an experiential education opportunity where we develop new strategies for achieving social change alongside the global community. Our 2022 program, held virtually during the pandemic, centered on climate justice and human rights, with Pacific Island youth sharing firsthand experiences of rising seas and displacement. In 2023, we gathered in Minneapolis to confront militarization and state violence by supporting community-led abolitionist work. Most recently, in 2024, we explored what global solidarity beyond empire looks like, focusing on statelessness and global systems that deny belonging and human rights.
A more just and sustainable world requires us to work together across lines that too often divide us. Whether you’re young and just beginning your activism journey or a seasoned organizer looking to connect, our International Global Solidarity Seminar invites you to join with global justice movements grounded in community, courage, and care. We hope the tools and education we share can contribute to efforts toward collective liberation that are both urgent and sustained.
